The mental health needs of U.S. military veterans returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) are substantial: 25%–40% of veterans returning from these conflicts report significant mental health symptoms or interpersonal difficulties ( 1 , 2 ).
