Summary
1,572 Canadian Forces members stationed in Afghanistan were surveyed to identify rates of mental health problems and use/availability of mental health services during deployment. Results suggested that relatively few met criteria for mental health diagnoses; however, psychosocial and occupational difficulties were common among participants, many of whom expressed interest in receiving supportive services during deployment.
