Those Left Behind: Military Families

Type
Summary

Families are important to the well-being and effectiveness of military personnel, both in peacetime and in times of war. Families provide support critical to the military members's performance and to his or her readiness and ability to carry out the military's mission. During the Persian Gulf War, in particular, receiving information from home and knowing that family members were safe was of utmost importance to those serving in the Gulf.
